Synopsis

This research book presents chapters that analyze the development and strengthening of organizations in order to become increasingly competitive in the face of opportunities for new business models in glocal contexts. Among the topics addressed are solutions to issues related to quality of life, productivity, competitiveness, and the sustainable development of organizations, through innovation, marketing, training, and human talent, among others.

The initial chapters show how entrepreneurship and foresight promote disruptive thinking in the business and regional spheres, serving as a driving force for new competitive proposals that involve rethinking and creatively redesigning organizations in innovative ways.

Other chapters delve into the understanding of telework and mobile applications that emerged during the pandemic. These contributions allow the sharing of experiences regarding the challenges of digital transformation toward a Society 5.0 in the new global context, focusing particularly on smart cities and intelligent territories.

Likewise, some chapters highlight the importance of productive development and associativity as sources of socioeconomic improvement in different contexts. Responsible and sustainable strategies make it possible to understand the productive, competitive, technological, and sustainability challenges faced by micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs and SMEs) in transforming challenges and opportunities into new business models.
