Scenarios: a tool in the construction of a peace process in southern Colombia

The development of the paper is part of the doctoral research Design of Scenarios in Peace Building Florence–Caquetá and aims to identify scenarios in the peace-building process from the perception of university students in southern Colombia. It represents an opportunity to rethink the armed conflict that has been prolonged, diverse, and intense, causing pain and irreparable losses to society. Scenarios do not predict what will happen, but they allow us to better understand possible developments in order to redefine our actions and address what could happen tomorrow. The research is structured within the interpretative paradigm, with a mixed cross-sectional approach. The results identified the scenarios called Half Peace, Peace as Usual, Negative Peace, and the Visionary Peace scenario, which allows the creation, unveiling, discovery, design, and even construction of more convenient, feasible, and desirable futures.
