Synopsis

This review aims to understand the mechanisms carried out by senior management teams that help achieve organizational ambidexterity. The review is based primarily on the social capital held by managers. This study extends the understanding of the different types of ambidexterity such as temporal, structural, and sequential, and addresses theoretical and empirical investigations that support more refined mechanisms that can be identified.
