Synopsis

This narrative text emerges from the experience gained through the implementation of Stoic philosophy workshops with the women of the Therapeutic Community at El Buen Pastor correctional facility in Bogotá, Colombia. Within the framework of the PARCCHE project and its commitment to applied philosophy, the initiative promotes critical thinking, resilience, and self-care. Through the “Philosophical Gymnasium”, participants have not only learned about Stoicism but have also reinterpreted their own experiences, discovering in vulnerability a source of collective strength.
The workshops, grounded in shared reflection and mindfulness, have fostered the creation of mutual support networks, highlighting the importance of solidarity and companionship. Although the process is still in its early stages, the initial results underscore the transformative power of Stoicism in contexts of and adversity.

Docente del Departamento de filosofía de la Corporación Universitaria Minuto de Dios (UNIMINUTO) (Rectoría Bogotá). Doctoranda en Filosofía de la Universidad de Santo Tomás (Colombia). Magíster en Filosofía Contemporánea de la Universidad de San Buenaventura (Colombia). Licenciada en Filosofía de la Corporación Universitaria Minuto de Dios (UNIMINUTO) (Colombia). Hace parte del grupo de investigación Pensamiento, Filosofía y Sociedad de UNIMINUTO. Líder del semillero Baubo: Género y filosofía de UNIMINUTO. Actualmente es coinvestigadora del proyecto PARCCHE: un entrenamiento del Pensamiento crítico para el fortalecimiento de Acciones Resilientes, Cuidadosas, Comunicativas y Habilidades Emocionales con población vulnerable en Colombia. Entre sus áreas de interés se encuentran la filosofía de la diferencia, enfoque de género, teoría queer, deconstrucción del amor romántico, feminismos y pedagogías decoloniales e interseccionales. Ha impartido talleres BOECIO en la prisión de mujeres El Buen Pastor desde el 2022.
