Capítulo 3. Impacto psicosocial de la pandemia y estallido social sobre las poblaciones afrodescendientes del Huila

Henry Steven Rebolledo Cortes, ; Leonardo Gutiérrez Osorio,

Synopsis

This document reflects a community psychosocial diagnostic work that will be developed with Afrodescendant communities present in Neiva and surroundings such as the municipality of Rivera and Campo Alegre. The methodological strategy consisted of a diagnosis based on two phases: first, consultation and socialization with leaders of  3  Afro  organizations  in  each  municipality.  In  the  second  phase,  semistructured  interviews were carried out with families linked to the organizations. As well as two discussion groups with the leaders of the peaceful association for peace. The demonstration of this diagnosis has not been probabilistic for convenience, considering that the participants are linked to it in a snowball. The participants are mostly people who have been victims of forced displacement due to violence in Colombia, specifically in  the  deartments  of  Cauca,  Valle  del  Cauca,  Nariño  and  Buenaventura;  some  of them were already born in the department of Huila because their families have been established  in  this  part  of  the  country  for  a  long  time.  They  recognize  themselves  as  AfroColombians,  linked  to  Afro  social  organizations  in  Huila.  The  results  show  socioeconomic,  educational,  psychosocial  and  wellbeing  conditions  that  allow  for a nongeneralizable analysis, but that allow a baseline for other research and social impact  programs  with  the  community.  Within  the  established  needs,  it  is  possible  to  identify  a  high  need  for  social,  cultural,  training  programs,  a  lag  in  local  public  policies, and high economic needs, in addition to resilience processes from the established dialogues
