Chapter 3. Notions about community present in the participatory community diagnosis of 26 CASMCUNAD program human groups.

This chapter focuses on exploring the various notions of community present in the participatory community assessment conducted with 26 human groups that are part of the strategy of the Mental Health Support Centers of UNAD (CASMCUNAD). The research, conducted by two psychologists in collaboration with 29 psychology students, sought to understand how these different groups define and experience the concept of community.

The study was developed in five phases, beginning with a literature review to establish a theoretical framework. Subsequently, a semi-structured instrument was applied to the members of the 26 groups, inquiring about their definition of community and whether they considered themselves as such, and requesting argumentation. The final phases focused on systematization, comparative analysis of the data obtained with the literature reviewed, and presentation of the results. The chapter is structured by initially presenting this introduction, followed by the detailed methodology, the results section that exposes the main findings on the notions of community identified, and finally, the conclusions and literature references.
