Víctor Adrián Robles Ramos, ; Víctor Hugo Robles Francia, ; Ana Victoria Robles Ramos,

Synopsis

The human being perceives and interacts in the hospital world through his senses, sight, hearing, mainly, and to lesser extent, smell, touch, and taste, where work sensorialy configures the worker’s body. The objective was to show the sensitive interaction of the personnel in the hospital world and the labor conformation of the worker’s senses. Covert ethnography, the field diary and the interview were used. Three interviews were conducted with cleaning staff and one with office staff. The four interviews showed an affectation by the hospital world and a sensory configuration of the personnel. The hospital’s social establishment sensorially delineated the body of its staff, where the interacting bodies adapt to the space, which is influenced by the affective stage, becoming larger or smaller depending on the affective stage.
