Synopsis

Technology is an important ally in all activities performed by people, new advances and developments in this field have allowed aspects that could not be controlled before to be controlled now. There are many technologies that are currently converging, improving or supporting different activities in the world, among which are: sensor networks, ambient intelligence systems, the Internet of Things (IoT), cyber-physical systems (CPS), among others. This book mainly discusses a technology called wireless sensor networks or better known as Wireless Sensor Network (WSN), widely used in different technological development environments, which has positioned itself as the basis of technologies such as IoT or CPS. The book provides a description of this technology, mentions the elements that compose it, some applications, the devices it uses and the ways in which the data captured through its use can be analyzed. As a special case of application of WSN technology, it explains the development of a research process of the Davinci group of the UNAD, in the area of health, more specifically related to Preeclampsia, which is a disease that can affect pregnant women, endangering their lives and their future babies. We invite you to read this book and learn a little more about what has been described above.
