This book is one of the products of the research project "Modelo de Turismo de Naturaleza Sostenible para la Localidad de Usme” (Sustainable Nature Tourism Model for the Locality of Usme, in English) financed by the National Open and Distance University (UNAD for its Spanish acronym), Bogota headquarters, the School of Basic Sciences, Technology, and Engineering, Industrial Engineering of the research line: Design and Management of Supply Networks. The research proposal is structured within the postdoctoral stay of the Postdoctoral Program in Syntagmatic Processes of Science of the Euroamerican Learning University - Sypal International Center for Advanced Studies,

with the assistance of Dra. Jaqueline Hurtado de Barrera. The research is of projective type, aimed to design a sustainable model of nature tourism for the locality of Usme in Bogota, Colombia. The purpose is to frame the model in the following elements: sustainable development (which implies economic, social, and environmental sustainability) and nature tourism as an activity that can contribute to consolidating territorial development in a sustainable manner (considering the territory as an essential part for the development of tourism and that can be positively impacted by it).
