Indicador de confianza del consumidor en méxico: a través de un sistema de inferencia difuso

Mauricio Ortigosa Hernández,

Synopsis

This writing is an application to the marketing of the so-called Fuzzy Inference Systems. These systems have the property of working with information, similar to how human thought does it, using input and output linguistic variables and a set of previously prepared fuzzy rules through knowledge on the subject and/or with expert support. In Mexico the National Institute of Statistic and Geography (NISG) publishes a monthly consumer confidence indicator based on a survey of 15 questions from which five of them are used to obtain the mentioned indicator. The proposed fuzzy system is based on the same information of the NISG, with the difference of obtaining the confidence indicator through a set of fuzzy rules and inference mechanisms by the Mamdani method using the Mathlab program. To prove the consistency in the results produced by the system, consumer confidence indicators from December 2012 to November 2020 were calculated for each month and compared with official figures, obtaining a very good correlation between both.
