Sentido de pertenencia a la tierra: una apuesta educativa en la Institución Educativa Llanos de Cuivá (Colombia)

In my thesis, "The Sense of Belonging to the Land: An Educational Commitment at the Llanos de Cuivá Educational Institution, Colombia," I explore the intricate relationship between students' sense of belonging to their land and their educational engagement. I establish the geographical and cultural significance of the Llanos de Cuivá, highlighting how local identity influences educational practices. Using a qualitative methodology, I investigate how emotional and cultural connections to the land manifest in students' educational participation and academic performance. The findings reveal that educational initiatives that integrate local knowledge and promote environmental awareness significantly improve students' motivation and engagement. I analyze the implications of these findings for rural education and propose recommendations for incorporating local knowledge into curricula, emphasizing its potential to foster sustainable development and cultural preservation. Ultimately, this study underscores the crucial role of the sense of belonging in students' identity formation and educational outcomes.
