Synopsis

The Ethos Seedbed belongs to the Cirbercultura y Territorio (Cyberculture and Territory, in English) research group of the School of Social Sciences, Arts, and Humanities (ECSAH for its Spanish acronym) of the National Open and Distance University. This seedbed has a banner encouraging philosophical reflection to construct critical thinking that leads to epistemic knowledge about reality, current affairs, politics, and ethics. Under this course, the work presented here is the product of readings, dissertations, discussions, and socialization of texts that each of the members carried out, considering that writing is a crucial exercise for the intellectual development of the person that is exercised through comprehension, interpretation, reflection, and proposition, which allows the individual to consolidate epistemic knowledge. In this way, topics such as the aesthetic and its local configuration for a sublime experience within the philosophy of art; the treatment of truth in post-truth, which should not only be seen from its construction as a term but directly from the experience as occurs with the victims of the Colombian armed conflict; the will, vitalism, and the negation of the body as an alienated entity from the good, from the perspective of Nietzsche; the need to consolidate humanism for its ontological, axiological, and epistemic construction as a human genre are discussed. The above, within the framework of its historical evolution that is currently being consolidated, but not only that, it must be seen from the local dimension, since it is imperative that it be observed from the subjectivities that are born in each territory, from the individual itself, so that the understanding that provides the elements of a proactive work can be expanded.
