Ecoglamping Soul of Huila: from Huila to the world

Katherine Perdomo Vargas, ; Lisette Gabriela Gómez Morales,

Synopsis

In recent years, various forms of accommodation have emerged within the tourism market, oriented toward being more connected with nature. Therefore, this proposal stems from the interest in promoting a current productive initiative in the department of Huila, offering solutions for those seeking ecoglamping experiences, aligned with the ecological trends of the region. Currently, the ecological trend is gaining greater momentum in responsible tourism, standing out against the growing importance of the experiences and emotions produced at the visited destination, resulting in a satisfying experience for the tourist.

Only in recent years has emotion or experience-based tourism become one of the leading tourism trends. This has occurred because companies in the sector have realized that tourists no longer simply seek to consume a product, but an experience that results in a lasting and satisfying memory of what was lived during their trip.

Therefore, the basic concept of ecoglamping is the result of camping in a glamorous way (glamour + camping). Glamping is born from creating pleasant environments that are, of course, environmentally friendly. Given all these characteristics and the predisposition to entrepreneurship, it is notable to create an environment that highlights Huilense culture, understanding this type of business as the most effective for the proper sustainable development of a tourist destination. Considering that the main objective of the company is to satisfy the ecological needs of tourists, the purpose of the project goes beyond offering a lodging place, but also enhances culture through various routes — hiking, themed nights, relaxation spaces, cultural restaurant, among others — ultimately promoting tourism in the department of Huila, route 45, La Aguada sector, between Gigante and Garzón.

The purpose of this project is to conduct a study to determine whether the implementation of the ecoglamping Alma del Huila is feasible at the aforementioned geographical location.
