Synopsis

Within the COVID 19 situational margin, the labor forces implied facing a significant variability of organizational activities, thus generating a new global perspective to set high levels of stress, unfavorably surrounding good mental functioning. The objective of this project is to analyze the relationship between work stress and resilience in the administrative staff of the Mayor's Office of Pasto, for this purpose a quantitative, non-experimental cross-sectional research methodology was proposed with an analytical empirical approach of correlational type, through a representative sample of 109 officials, under probabilistic sampling guidelines. For the evaluation, two psychometric questionnaires were used, initially the Stress Assessment Questionnaire in its third version and the CD RISC-10 scale, which facilitated the collection of statistical information. The results indicate that for the stress variable it maintains a very high level, it is at 27.5%; likewise, for the resilience variable it maintains a very high level, it is at 61.5%, however, for the correlations between stress and resilience a low negative association of -0.327 was obtained, being highly significant. Regarding the correlations between the total resilience variable and the categories/dimensions of the stress variable, coefficients of -0.203 were obtained for physiological symptoms, this being significant; a coefficient of -0, 288 for Symptoms of Social Behavior, is very significant; with a coefficient of -0.311 for Intellectual and Labor Symptoms, it is very significant; a coefficient of -0.342 for Psycho-emotional Symptoms, being highly significant. In this way, it is concluded that there is a very significant relationship between the resilience variable and the stress variable, indicating that these two determined values tend to behave in the opposite way, that is, if one increases the other decreases.
