Libertad Valente

Dolly Toro Sepúlveda,

Synopsis

Libertad Valente is a collection of poems that expresses the subjectivities that spill beyond life itself. It stands at the edge of emotions, feels the deepest pains in the body, and then moves through the soul and dreams, when fatigue has already won, but the pain does not fall asleep. She is someone who is born in the stifled cry of the desire for death, yet forgets the reason for that impulse, out of the wild idea of imagining herself without memory in order not to suffer. Even so, she refuses to burn her consciousness and end up merely surviving; she wants to be someone who truly lives

Keywords: contemporary poetry, artistic expression, feminine identity, emotional health, literary catharsis, inner freedom, resilience, poetic creation
