Strategies for the commercialization of agricultural products in the District of Turbo, based on technological surveillance

Didier Luisinho Martinez Santos,

Synopsis

It seems unquestionable that one of the major obstacles to the competitiveness of farmers is the use of inappropriate technologies. In this context, there is a considerable, although not sufficient, effort to develop technologies for family farmers. Much of this effort is being devoted to the development and dissemination of process technologies, materials, and products and services. However, it should be borne in mind that efforts directed at information technology and management are still incipient and, as a general rule, innocuous. Therefore, the present work aims to propose strategies for the commercialization of peasant products directly in the Turbo District through the technological surveillance tool. From this brief analysis emerges the understanding that the challenges of applying management technologies suitable for family farming lie in two different areas of application: the management of rural property and the management of forms of associations of rural family producers. The applied methodology was carried out by means of a bibliographic review bearing in mind the primary and secondary sources of information. The main points of this review took into account the analysis of the main references around technological surveillance as well as research on marketing strategies for rural producers. It is concluded that technological surveillance appears as an efficient methodology to promote the monitoring of technological information of the events and reach the entire target audience.
