The imprisoned-student, the emancipated-philosopher : essays by a philosophy student in prison

Luis Alberto Triana Llano,

Synopsis

The book explains how a UNAD philosophy student in a context of confinement (deprived of his freedom), has found emancipatory possibilities in writing about the particular philosophical vision of society and some of its contemporary problems despite not being in a cave as Plato anticipated, but in a double cave, that is, in a second level of concealment in which the shadows of the shadows of the phenomena that occur outside that first Platonic cave arrive. Some of the philosophical essays of the now philosopher that he carried out at the time as part of his journey along the academic philosophical path inside a prison thanks to the UNAD-INPEC agreement are presented; The publication externalizes that particular vision of the student deprived of liberty, which contributes to breaking social paradigms about prison and the impossibility of generating knowledge in contexts of confinement.
