Jurisprudence of land from the de-colonial turn: new proposal for reading jurisprudence

Julieth Jesenia Jiménez Navarro,

Synopsis

This chapter explores the links between body, memory and violence in the Colombian context. Through the analysis of performance as a political practice, the ways in which the body becomes a living archive of historical memory and collective trauma are examined. The text proposes that performing art can be a tool to resist forgetfulness and denounce the structural and symbolic violence that has marked various communities. Experiences of artists and groups that have used the body as an expressive and political means to redefine pain and open paths towards healing and symbolic justice are also discussed.
