Synopsis

This book arises from the research project PG-2015-011 and the agreement signed between the Universidad Nacional Abierta y a Distancia (UNAD) and the Federación Nacional de Sordos de Colombia (FENASCOL). In its first phase, this project proposes a systematization of FENASCOL's experiences regarding training needs in Colombian Sign Language as a target language. The identification of training needs in this language is pertinent and relevant for the construction of academic proposals that will strengthen the training field in this area at the national level.

In essence, it could be said that chapter one fulfills the objective of the first phase of the project: the systematization of FENASCOL's experience. However, it was also decided to address the experience of the instructors of the LSC2 courses, who, although they have not been part of its design and structuring, FENASCOL has entrusted them with the task of disseminating sign language through the role of the instructors who teach the courses.
