Chapter 6. The complete human being

Wilson Meneses Sanchez,

Synopsis

The author argues that the human being possesses a dual nature, physical and spiritual, with the soul (embodied Spirit) participating in the spiritual domain.  We are all incarnated Spirits living temporary human experiences in multiple existences and planes. Upon disembodiment, we return to the spiritual plane, absenting ourselves only partially during our earthly life, guided by a spiritually agreed prenatal plan.  Moments such as sleep, astral projections and NDEs allow a partial liberation from material influence, evidencing that consciousness transcends the physical body and that intelligence and personality persist after death, the brain being a mere receiver of the Spirit.

Spirits, disembodied souls composed of ectoplasm, are divine creation and populate the universe.  The perispirit, a semi-material substance that surrounds the Spirit, acts as an intermediary for the Spirit to interact with physical matter, like a copy of the physical body and a carrier of predispositions to disease. Physical life is considered an opportunity for spiritual growth, where the incarnated Spirit experiences trials and challenges, including illness, which may have been planned before birth.
