Risk of corruption: Golden & Picci Index for the departments of Colombia

This chapter develops the Golden & Picci corruption risk index applied to Colombian departments. Through this indicator, the efficiency of public spending and the relationship between public investment and economic outcomes are analyzed. The chapter identifies the territories with the highest corruption risk and examines how administrative inefficiency and weak institutional quality influence the management of public resources.
