Social mobility of graduates

Lina María Mahecha Vásquez,

Synopsis

It is imperative for higher education institutions (HEIs), from their planning and creation, to consider the continuity (social mobility) of their graduates after graduation, both in academic life (further studies and application of knowledge) and in their entry into the labor market. Of course, these aspects are based on the construction of a solid, feasible life project that necessarily generates an improvement in the student's quality of life and environment. In this sense, aspects such as the acquisition of knowledge, performance in professional and soft skills within the workplace, levels of satisfaction with the training received and its real applicability, become key aspects that HEIs must strengthen so that a graduate's educational trajectory necessarily generates mobility.
