Capítulo 4. Intervención educativa en psicología positiva: Diseño de asignatura en el área de la salud

Rosa Elba Domínguez,

Synopsis

A world in which life and living have become fundamentally part of the dynamics of complexity, within which the constant that is experienced on a daily basis is uncertainty and where the only certain thing is uncertainty. Today, more than ever, it requires contributions that allow its citizens to have the tools to face adversity, crisis and painful moments resulting from the internal and external dynamics that the planet itself experiences. In this context, educational interventions in the field of positive psychology have become not a luxury but a necessity at all educational levels, that is, in these times, thinking about well-being is a health issue and almost survival. Today it is clear that we cannot continue to perpetuate models of behavior that lead us to further divide ourselves as a society, much less can we sustain schemes that lead us to compete with each other. The pandemic that has hit the entire world leaves us a clear message of the need for cooperation and collaboration with one another for and for our well-being. Education has as one of its main objectives, to train men so that they are enabled to go out and face the world effectively and effectively, giving them the skills not only to act but also to allow themselves to be human in this changing world.

This chapter addresses a proposal for educational intervention in positive psychology in students of the Faculty of Medicine of the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla. Through this you will go the way of what the design, implementation, adjustments and evaluation of a course program in this disciplinary field implies.
