The Leadership Applied In The Institutional Planning Method Of The Universidad Nacional Abierta y a Distancia For Organizational Development

Leadership is a fundamental aspect to reach better results in an organization, therefore, it can be demonstrated that it application in a planning process can drive a highly complex organization, due to its national and international presence, such as the Universidad Nacional Abierta y a Dsitancia, to be a mega-university, leader in an open and distance modality, as a reference in the educative sector, who has focused on bringing quality education through innovation and technological development, to the most remote regions of the country decreasing regional inequality highly marked in Colombia. The chapter describes the UNAD planning process and strategic actions to achieve the best results, knowing that each process guarantees the active participation of the entire university community, with a view to build an institutional project, that is part of the life plan of each of the actors that make it up. This is how the implementation of the problem analysis method (MAP), which addresses the complexity from an explanatory model of multi-causal, non-linear analysis, of the meaning that the problems have for the different actors and the opportunities they imply the materialization in objectives, goals, indicators and products that each OP leader designs and executes.
