Synopsis

The design of the jobs must be thought of in the anthropometric conditions of the workers, the structure of the human body is a vitally important feature to be taken into account by the designers, the human being is a highly variable organism in terms of its characteristics physical; in the variation of the anthropometric structure of people, factors such as genetic inheritance, sex, age and socioeconomic conditions influence, which result in notable differences in size, proportion and physical characteristics, hence the importance of knowing the study population to guarantee reliable results in an ergonomic assessment. The objective of this research is synthesized in the analysis of existing methods for the assessment of occupational risks and the relationship with the biomechanical behavior of the upper limbs, the structural approach of scales according to the standardized minimum and maximum limits, where identifies when the development of an activity does not generate injury
for the worker; and in this way scales can be proposed to evaluate movements and positions in superior members, allowing organizations to implement strategies that lead to the increase of workers' wellbeing, in the same way that it allows improving work performance taking into account the anthropometric dimensions of the staff in the design of the jobs.
