support for the Fusagasugá city: support for the Fusagasugá city

Edgar Romero Herrera,

Synopsis

For Schumpeter (1950), who first used the term motivated towards market instability; while for Formichela M. (2004) (p.10), he defines the entrepreneur as "he is a person with the ability to create, carry forward his ideas, generate goods and services, take risks and face problems: the entrepreneur is an individual who knows not only to 'look' at his surroundings, but also to 'see' and discover the opportunities that are hidden in him. He has his own initiative and knows how to create the structure he needs to undertake his project, communicates and generates communication networks, has the capacity to call; even if necessary, he knows how to form a work group and begins to carry out his task without hesitation or be overcome by fears."

In Fusagasugá there are several entities that carry out actions to support entrepreneurship, including SENA, the Ministry of Economic Development of Fusagasugá, the Bogota Chamber of Commerce Fusagasugá headquarters, the University of Cundinamarca, the UNAD and some Municipal Educational Institutions, with individual and isolated actions that do not allow an adequate interaction with the real sector and with the specialized entities in each area of the business creation process.

Fusagasugá has received attention from the regional government's policy and has received special attention from the Bogota Chamber of Commerce, especially as the head of the province of Sumapaz and certainly the most prominent municipality in the subregion because of its economy and population size. Its inhabitants grow annually at a rate of 2.4% above the departmental average (1.9%), according to DANE (2015). Together with 30 other municipalities in the department, Fusagasugá is classified as "strong", with misery percentages lower than 3%.

Despite this, in its business fabric there are no large companies or projects that promote the generation of employment, and the programs of productive chains that for years have been brewing in the region have not been consolidated. Qualitative and quantitative methodologies are used for the development of this research, for which descriptive information and observable behaviors of the units under study will be collected (Navarrete, 2006), as well as research and historical information available on the pages of the Government of Cundinamarca, Chamber of Commerce of Bogotá, Secretary of Economic Development of Fusagasugá, in addition to the successful experiences of other Colombian cities and recognized countries.
